What happens if I screw up the following step?

"Plug your pins into the BMW connector on the maplight. The red wire (12V goes toward the curved end of the connector".

What I mean is what would happen if I switch the wires comming from the dome lamp I'm tapping into? Thanks,
Chris

The car will explode, just like in the movies.

Cats and dogs sleeping together.

Chaos.

Anarchy.

OK, really - nothing. It may still even work - at worst you'll blow a fuse, but even that is unlikely. It's a light bulb, not a computer. Light bulbs don't generally care which direction the current flows.
