im looking at getting some new wheels, 16x7"s. what offset should they be? whats the widest tire you can fit on all four corners?
thanks

throwing this out there, my 15x7s are ET24

My 16x7.5 ACS Type I's are ET25 with 225/45's and they fit perfectly all the way around with no fender rolling. No room for a 245 in front with out rolling/flaring but would fit in the back.

17X7 with 25mm offset. 215/45X17. Tire Rack's site also lists under "Specs" the tread width of most tires. In the above size the tread width varies from 7.4" to 8.3".

i see you're new here, go to the member profile section and start a thread with pictures, it'd be nice to know a little more about you and your car!!
i dont want to hijack this intersting thread. i'm also considering new wheels and tires depending on the budget left after the restoration.

I have 15x7" ET13 MiM 1800's
A staggered set of Ronal Racing 3 piece mag wheels 15x8 ET-6 out back, ET 12 up front.
A broken down set of BBS RS wheels, hopefully 15x9 all the way around.
Opps, forgot to mention it's an E21. Standard fitment is ET 13 on a 7" wheel for my model.
Ronal, centers are out for powder coat, not a fan of the blue:

MiM's: In need of work:

Center caps I made for the MiM's:

I'm a wheel whore.

I hope you plan on keeping the ronals. They're closing their distribution centers here in the states. Go figure...
