Title: Accelator pedal vs carpet removal
Post by: FL318is on October 25, 2007, 12:10:54 PM
Finally getting some time off.  Working on carpet removal.

So far so good.  I am trying to figure out 2 things.

1)  How to removal the acc pedal?
2)  Cutting the carpet under the heater/dash seems to be the easiest, but where do I cut?  Any diagrams?

Thanks.  I should have a beir whilst I ponder.

The pedal has wedgie type plastic retainers on the tab that goes through the carpet and into the floor. I pried the base of the pedal straight up with a screwdriver in several places and it snapped back in after reinstalling the carpet. You also have to take a clip off of the top and slide out the rod that goes through the firewall.
I cut the carpet after removing the console leaving the least amount I could under the A/C heater box. There was plenty to tuck back under the console.
