Need help guys.
The starter in the 318iS doesn't turn on the key. The ignition lights come on etc.
Got the starter to turn the engine by connecting it up to the battery direct (well actually shorting the 10mm and 13mm connections), so.........
Is there a fusable link in the wiring to the ignition or anywhere else for me to check ?? Maybe a relay ??
Cheers for any help.

The main relay is under the plastic cover running below the windshield in the engine bay.
But strictly speaking, if your battery gets low, the ignition lights will come on but the car won't crank.
Try a battery booster or a jump start first, to rule out the battery.

Aren't those three relays for the ECU, O2 sensor and fuel pump? The starter doesn't have a relay.

The battery is fine. We can get the starter to crank, but not from the ignition key ;)
