Are you looking for yellow lenses or yellow bulbs? H4, DOT or elipsoids?

What headlights do you already have? Sealed or Elipsoids?

You can just get some lamin-x for them, its a thick clear plastic adhesive that adds the color and also protection.

Thats what I have...

but from the picture you post, you have sealed beams. It wouldn't be smart to put the lamin-x on those because when they go out you replace the entire light itself.

Go to a good hobby shop and get some transparent spray paint. Similar to what this guy did to his tails.. LINK (http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3629)

for the Love of God why? they're far less effective than clear lenses. I can dig up empirical data.

"Yellow lamps were subjectively ranked as better in poor weather and lower in glare than white ones"

yellow fogs are produce less glare, therefore, in the rain and snow and especially in the fog they are far superior to the clear lights.

basically they both have their purposes, i have yellow fogs an clear low/high's. (i have seen people put them on their high's though because it reduces glare, and produces a more broad light range, making it easier to see deer and other animals, i think its personal preference though).

correct in inclement conditions 2500K will provide a visibly higher "contrast" over a shorter distance [than say, 5400K], hence the value for amber fogs.

the best thing yellow normal condition lights [that should be clear, your headlights] will do for you is make it easier to get fix-it-tickets.

there are reasons France abandoned the standard so long ago.

oh and btw you neglected to post the next paragraph

"One problem with this conclusion as drawn from the French experiencewith selective-yellow headlamps in France is that when the questionwas being considered, the lamps that were being compared with whitelamps reduced the absolute intensity of the beam by about 12 percent. This fact may have had a part in reducing the glare. Because therequirement for yellow light no longer exists (though such light is optional in many countries) we probably will never know the vagaries of the answer to this question"

not picking a fight, but why do something to your car that provides no benefit to you or those around you, and invites tickets?

thats where xenons come in.  A 3k-3.5k low beam would be brighter than a halogen white bulb and be great in bad weather.

ok, ok you educated me. my lights are actually clear (except for my yellow fogs). to tell you the truth, i think yellow fogs look cool, thats why im keeping mine.

I have yellow fogs in my benz, and will be installing them in the E30 because they do work better than clear (not to mention look cool) but yellow headlights? lame.

The lamin-x doesnt make the headlights that yellow, nothing like yellow HID's or bulbs. To me the yellow light is better and more crisp, I also always have my fogs on which are clear.
