Title: Stock radio code not working!
Post by: BrandC on September 24, 2007, 12:34:21 PM
I disconnected the battery on my '91 318is and now the stock radio won't accept my radio code. It worked one time and now it won't work anymore.

A friend of mine who works at the dealer said if you leave your key in the ignition at the "ON" position for an hour, it resets the radio. I'm not sure if this really works, haven't tried it.

Any suggestions?

I dont know anything about the radio, but how would the radio know what position the key is in it just gets 12 volt potential or it doesn't on the switched circuit.

The reset works I have had to do it before after entering my code incorrectly.
