Title: Strange headlight problem
Post by: Half8 on September 22, 2007, 02:08:43 PM
Low beams work fine.  Turning on the high beam switch results in both hi & lo being lit on the right side, and neither hi nor lo on the left side.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance,
Drew Z.

there must be a circuit issue for the left side lights. check the relays (although i think our car has the same relay for the left and right side). check wiring from the fuse to lights, check power at the lights.

Did you solve this ? This same thing happened to me.........

I found 2 problems.  The fuse for the high beam, was blown. Fuse # 2 for me. But I had the reverse problem, the Left lights worked fine and the right lights would die if I switched to high beams. Which would make it fuse # 1 I think, for you.

The second place to look is the connector at the back of the light switch. Corrosion on one terminal, caused my low beams to work fine but when I turned on the lights, low beams would die and the high beams could be turned on or off by the beam selector switch. Good luck !
