Hey guys, i have a 91 318i. If i press on the clutch pedal, a weird grinding sound can be heard and i can even feel it on the pedal.  What can this be and how much will it cost to fix? thanks

Sounds like you have a worn clutch release bearing (aka thrust bearing). You may as well change the clutch at the same time, unless your clutch is near new, as the gearbox has to come out. The bearing comes as part of a clutch kit.

At the same time, maybe think about what else you can do with the gearbox out -- rear main oil seal, lighter flywheel, shifter parts replacement, short shifter, etc.

Not sure of cost in US Dollars. In Australia my clutch kit cost AU$300 and labour cost somewhere about AU$200-AU$250.

+1 on the TO bearing. Fun job, particularly if you do it in the driveway on jackstands.
