Title: please help with headlights....
Post by: curtis on September 18, 2007, 10:18:37 PM
heres the story...i bought my car from this kid who put a super ghetto alarm system on it, basically it went off all the time for no reason, and it didnt even unlock the doors and only locked the passenger door when you used it. i ended up taking the whole alarm system out a few weeks ago, and at the same time, i also took out the headlights to paint the silver trim rings black. i dont know if thats important at all, but heres the problem. when i hooked everything back up, when i turn on the headlights...the fog lights come on, but not the low beam lights, but when i turn on the high beans, they all light up like theyre supposed to.
im tired of driving around with only fog lights, and because winter is approaching, i please ask anyone for some hrelp with my problem. i have looked and took apart nearly everything under my dash, is there something i couldve missed? please help me figure this out,
thanks
curtis

The low beam relay may be bad. It's in the fuse box under the hood.

before u go all out spending money did u try playing with the ground???,
thats what happend to my high beams and just took me a few minutes to clean the terminals and mes around with the ground wires to get it to work same thing with my left blinker apparently because of age or something but this happens a lot. thats my 2 cents!!!
