eBay link (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260158722933&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=016)
I know it's 5k, but it's cheap and rather low miles. My question is, can I replace the SI board with my new one, does it matter it's prod date is '86 and if it'll read correctly the 318is revs?

yes it will fit in the dash but its not going to work properly. You can use one out of a 325i/is if you swap the coding plug to your 318 plug.

where is the coding plug?
