Title: annual mileage.
Post by: sheepdog on April 19, 2006, 02:04:47 AM
I just realized today I am on schedule for 24k miles this year.
Now I need to get the Miata running just to ease up on the Bimmer.

This sucks.

I love driving it, but I do not want to drive the wheels out from under it this bad! Dumb because I bought it for this job, but I never expected this kind of mileage. Does not help when you put 200+ over the wekend for fun though.:D As it stands, my semi-low mileage car, is no longer all that low. I am already at 140k and will top 200k by the end of 2008.

The real bummer is that I was planning to sell the Miata to finance the beginnings of a hot rod, which will not be much better to put mileage on.

How many miles are you guys putting on?

I've put just over 40k miles on mine since I bought it in the summer of '03, and that's with it being down for months at a time (the clutch replacement turned in to the clutch and entire suspension replacement and took a tad bit longer to finish than originally planned :) )

Drive it, for pete's sake!  I didn't buy it as an investment, I bought it to commute to work in. It's just fortunate that its a hoot to drive around!

Wow, I have the opposite problem.  I hardly put any miles on my car at all.  Maybe 1,500 miles since December when I got it.  Mostly that's a by product of living <5 miles from school.  Also, wnenever the whole family needs to go somewhere, we take the wife's minivan.  Much roomier.

More miles will be coming in August, with the move to Florida.

About 10,000 miles in 3 years.  The other car is a '98 M3 sedan which is driven 10k miles per year.

I do not mind putting miles on, but lets face it, 24k per year is hard on any car.
