How much wheel hp is the stock differential good for? I think i'm going to go through with my turbo project.

Its not HP you need to worry about. Its torque. If you are worried about breaking it, get a medium case.

i got a large case lsd 3.71 viscosperre , and i am out of worries...

the rear subframe will brake before the diffrential on the small case diff's on the E30 chassis, ive seen it before......but that is a good question, im going to geuss about 250hp and 200tq? and in the mid 300's for a medium or large case.

the small cases don't like burn outs and donuts fyi!  Nothing will kill one faster, even on a stock 318is.
