Title: Funny clutch noises
Post by: ScreamerBeemer on August 22, 2007, 10:37:39 PM
I thought this seemed obvious, now I'm doubting myself. I'm getting an intermittent squeal/chatter with the car cold and the clutch in. At first I figured it was just a throwout bearing, no bigge. A friend of mine thinks it my be a bearing in the tranny. I don't think that would be too shocking, the car has 215,xxx miles. but it still would suck.

What fluid are you running?  Try Redline...

I don't think I've seen a throwout bearing that is affected by being cold, unless it's *really* cold out.
