Hi, I need to know if in my M44 engine can be fitted (without internal/mechanical mods) the M42 valve cover.
I'm doing this for fitting the e30 intake manifold, because otherwise it will hurt the crankcase ventilation hose(that on m44 is on more towards the firewall).
please if you can answer don't exitate.. I need to know this...:)
thank you

Should fit - the gaskets are the same for M42 and M44.
-
there will be problems with crank case vent circuit or oil? I know that gasket are the same... but why someone said that the m44's one doesn't fit in m42? It's not only the gasket... there is something different in the bottom part...

The valve cover does nothing for oil folw, and the vent does the same thing, the exits are just in different places.

it fits
Edit i think m42's valve cover dosent fit because the oil vent hit the intake but im not sure

the intake will be not there... so other than oil vent hose, it will fit?
