Hello eveyone,
I'm new to this board. I recently purchased a 91 318is with high miles to use as a daily driver (it's my second 318is). The car runs fine, but as of last night, it leaks oil pretty badly. There is oil everywhere, and it only seems to drip out after i've been driving it for a while.
I was hoping to get some tips on what to check. It looks like its coming out around the oil filter area...? but it's hard to tell. I'm on my way to clean it up and see if I can figure out exactly where it's coming from. But any ideas or things to check would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Dylan

Hmmm.. looks like it is coming from the oil filter canister. I wonder if the seals are just bad and a new filter and o-rings would fix it?? I hope it's that simple.

Probably the O ring isn't seated properly. Also cheque the tourque - I was surprised how tight they go on.
