Title: miss under heavy acceleration where to start
Post by: lcgtrplr on July 31, 2007, 09:59:07 PM
just got my car legal and am having a blast. I do have a minor issue.
Sometimes i get a miss or surge in first gear at about 4 to 5000 rpms. very rare in second but 3rd 4th and 5th run up super smooth so it seems to be on a fast acceleration only.

It only happens sporadically.  Any ideas where to start? thanks for the help!!

I'd suggest checking the air intake bellows between the air flow meter and the throttle body for cracks.
