Do you hear any pinging/detonation? Replace fuel filter and spark plugs.
-
No do not here any detonation . Replaced fuel filter and spark plugs already .
-
Also replace your aif filter and check your Air Flow Meter is not sticking. Check the inlet bellows between the AFM and thottle body is not cracked too.
-
air filter new . How do you check the afm to see if it is sticking ?
-
check your fuel pump pressure, maybe not hitting 3.5 bar like it should.check the color of your plug, signs of a lean condition...just from my own experience.....
-
how do you check fuel pump pressure ? spark plugs are a bit white .
-
Check engine fault code
It could be lambda sensor and camshaft position sensor..
-
engine fault code is 1444 no faults
-
You should make engine electronic diagnostic in you country dealer workshop, i had problem like this once it was lambda (ECU gives foult code ONLY then sensor is completly out of predetermined limits) and other time it was camshaft position sensor (it is very sensitive to mounting dimension, I mean gap, O-ring was replaced and problem was solved).
p.s. In AUTODATA it is very good discription how to check various sensors.
-
Where do you find auto data ?
-
cam sensor o-ring replaced no dice .
-
your engine is running lean if the spark plug is white,.mechanics should have a fuel pressure gauge with a t connection. when you change your fuel pump change the filter as well, may be clogged after all those years.
-
fuel pump and filter checked there fine there 4 months old approx 3000 km
-
thanks for the help . Turned out to be a clogged cat converter .
