I assume the ITB's that are in the works by our illustrious M42 forum designers are supposed to resemble these?

minor detail, 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders, who would ever notice the difference

from don duncan's answers given the other day, i'm wondering whether BMP actually have their own ITBs or just use the dbilas ones.
What are the options for an M42 ITB for a street car?
------------------------------------------------
We do race cars and I honestly have no clue about the street car
angle. I don't know of anyone playing with the street version of this
engine.
I know that BMP has a dbilas ITB, and a turbo deal for this engine
that they raced and that VAC has a program they are about to undertake
to develop this engine for the street, but it may be for the track as
well.
if they use the dbilas ones, thats a nice kit, but although its a nice bolt on kit, it prob won't make the power of the ones i have as its more of a compromised design.

the bmp kit is a dbilas unit with a bmp logo on the intake cover thing

-Bump-
Does anyone have one of these installed on their car?
Anyone know someone who does?

I'm especially interested to know exactly what is included in the kit... ? ITB's, some hoses, bracketry... ? Any pics?
Thanks!

It's still in production.

That's hot... I have to go clean up now.

Thats a cool manifold, but 1450 Euro's? Pretty expensive!
-
here what I know:
dbilas sells the intake manifold, the one in this pic, between the ITBs and the head for m42 and m44 separately from itb, if you need it:

It will cost you something about 296euro. It's flanged for DCOE carbs, as their throttle bodies are.
You would need to pick up some throttle bodies with DCOE flange (extrudabody, TWM....), bolt them to their manifold and build a custom airbox.
This way it could be cheaper... and it could be cheaper too if you can find used ITB with that flange, not too impossible.
EDIT: cheaper if you have a tig welder... you will do your own inlet manifold for ITB... :D
do not think that fitting ITB only you will gain a lot of power. If you want real gains as natural aspirated you MUST to open the engine.

I have this info in my archive:
Bmpd.com Multi-throttle intake system $1695.95 Item #125504

It doesn't look the same as the dbilas to me.
