New bearings, All new seals {main, rear}.

Don't use any paper gaskets except for the intake manifold and oil pump. High temp silicone seal all that or you'll probably get a leak.

Also smooth EVERYTHING you can. Get a knife sharping stone (6"x3") cover the surface in oil and slowly and not much force, smooth everything.

Get the crank micro-polished.

Don't need to shave the block unless it's warped.

Since you shaved the head be sure you find a way to get the engine more fuel (injectors {Ford 5.0; I found some in a 96 t-bird} or FPR), or get a thicker head gasket.

When I did my engine, I replaced everything except the AFM, which of course now needs to be replaced.

Don't need to shave the block unless it's corrosion ore warped.
