I just did mine about a month ago. I got them at the stealership for about the same price as BavAuto (~$70). They are not terribly hard to change. The hardest ones to do have an aluminum water pipe running through them which can test your patience. Remove the intake bellows for easier access to them. There are 6 or 7 hoses to replace. For a very good diagram go to http://www.realoem.com and enter your car's info and search parts. Most of the lines show up under intake system I think and a couple show up under water hoses. This drove me crazy because I couldn't find a pic when trying to order. Good luck and keep us posted, Dan.

hey how would i check if i in fact do have a vaccum leak? where would i need to spray?
-
everywhere that could be leaking
-
I would (Very carefully I might add) start with a can of carb cleaner on the intake side of the engine.
Just do one hose at a time, and listen to hear if the idle goes up at all when you spray.
Wipe the hose down and do the next one, etc.

This is pretty easy, I did it last w/e, got the hoses form the dealers
The hardest part is reattaching the 2 coolant hoses to underneath the throttle body
Heres a diagram
(http://homepage.ntlworld.com/opposite-lock/318is-hose-nightmare.jpg)
There are 2 different designs around the throttle though, so yours may not look like that, have a look at the other design on realoem.com
The pink arrow goes to the charcoal canister on US cars, its just blanked off with a rubber cap on my UK car

Here's what I came up with. I put it in Excel. The numbers in the far right column are the # in the image in RealOEM. Unfortunately, they are from different pages and don't seem to have a page reference number, which can add to the confusion. Let me know if you find something different. Here's what I cam up with (from RealOEM).
Obviously hose clamps are optional, but actually pretty cheap from the dealer so I got a few there as well.
