Any one have a schematic and or block diagram with wire colors on the stereo system? Thanks.....

Color codes;
Power wiringBrown = Ground, normally black in most cars
White = Antenae (sends 12v to raise the ant. when stero is in radio mode)
Purple = 12v ACC (Switched) Can also be red.
Red/Green = 12v constant (Non-Switched) Can also be yellow on some cars.
Red/Gray = Illumination (sends 12v when headlights are on to activate dimmer) Could also be orange.
Speaker wiring
Right Front = Blue and:
White = Pos.
Red = Neg.
Left Front = Yellow and:
Silver (or gray) = Pos.
Red = Neg.
Right Rear = Blue and:
Brown = Pos.
Black = Neg.
Left Rear = yellow and:
Brown = Pos.
Black = Neg.

Well.. WTF??? This is what I found. And I did a continuity check on all wires.
Lt tweeter- grey/yellow & grey/green
Lt woofer---yellow/red & yellow/ grey
rt tweeter--yellow/grey & green/grey
rt woofer-- blue/grey & red/ grey
Don't need the backs..
Oddly enough the left tweeter and woofer share grey and yellow. But the tweeter is really grey with a thin yellow stripe and the woofer is more yellow with a grey stripe. Either case, this is all adds up to a big case of squat. I'm getting ready to install Focals up front and wanted to use the existing wires near the mirrors for the tweeters. BMW used common ground on e30 stereos which is not "new head unit friendly".
