My sagging headliner is just ugly and starting to annoy me. I'm thinking of going black microfiber or synthetic material with an alcantara texture. Just wondering what you guys have done?

I have a black alcantara headliner I picked up in a group buy on R3V, but haven't put it in yet.
Based on my experience just removing the headliner in my parts car, it's a bear, so I haven't tackled it yet. All the windows (except the door) have to come out, plus the sunroof headliner... :(
-
why would you take out the windows to replace headliner? seems highly unnecessary.

have you looked at the E30's headliner? if not take a look and you will see why the windows need to be removed.

Takings windows out is necessary. That's the EZ part. Stretching, clamping in place is the hard part. At least oned FULL day. Just did a non sun roof car which is probable easier.
-
Front and rear windows have to come out? The sides bolt in so that wouldnt be a problem.

I would love to watch someone replace the headliner without removing the windows... :D
Yes, all of the glass (except the doors) has to come out, as the headliner is wrapped around the sheetmetal and glued in place.
Taking the windows out is cake. It's putting them back in that is a bit harder.

forget that..

It's probably best left to a trim shop. You can DIY it if you know how or are willing to learn to R&R glass and also the headliner. Then there's that sunroof which is another completely different PITA. Trim is one of the few things I don't do myself.
