MAN is "looping" the lines difficult!!!! It took me 20min to take out the PS system and 1hr 1/2 wasted trying to put the F#$%^& hose into the steering rack tube. I gave up and ended up joining the hoses with a brass hose mender (3/8" to 1/4") and hose clamps. I put the hose back on the exit side. Nevertheless, I got the more direct feel I wanted and parking is NO BIG DEAL! I live in SF and parallel parking is an every day thing. I did it three times today without ANY issues whatsoever. Our cars are light enough to be fine w/o PS. I'll post some pics later.
I followed this(initially): http://kbdlock.ath.cx/~atmh/e30/powersteer.html
This part F'N SUCKS!!(LOL "a few minutes" ):
"Now comes the fun part, you have to take the end piece you have and push it into the hose that you clipped and put the clamp on it to hold it. It is not easy though, the hose itself is too small of a diameter for the end piece, and it is very thick rubber and hard to strech. I recommend you use a rag to hold the two pieces because you will probably be working it on for a few minutes"

great man, I'm glad to hear it went so well. Hows does it fell on the highway?
-
Thanks. On the freeway it feels almost exactly the same. There is a very subtle difference in switching lanes, if anything. Once you go past .5, you start to feel a little resistance:) . The biggest benefit is the feedback in the twisties. Steering feels more responsive. I did a few drifts and wheel snaps back into place very nicely, when you straighten out.
