...or someone like you!
I'm caretakering the board to the moment, but we need help in like every single area. So, any and all volunteers are welcome. Again, shoutouts to:
Bmwman91 who started the original BF.c thread; and
Sheepdog43 who has very generously agreed to host the bbs and site;
and all of us!
[ wow, this is weird being the only person posting on a message board... I can hear the echo from the microphone! ]
Anyway... moderators, people with Vbulletin and css experience, graphics people, people with good FAQ topics and writeups, and on and on and on. Just let us know what you want to do.
-
Im just posting here so Febi doesnt feel so weird.

whats up whats up??? Aussies welcome in this neck of the woods? :D

sure man! Welcome aboard... don't let the roar of the crickets freak you out.

i can help out with some of the bulk..i assume that im worthy of something
-
Yeah, just let me know what I'd be able to help out with also.
-
Awesome, it is alive! For somethign that I initially started because the E36 M42 guys were being elitists, it has the potential to become something realyl good. I will see about posting in some of my DIY articles over the next couple days. I'll also make a thread linking to my site with writeups on numerous pros/cons of all the mods I have messed with over the past 6 years.
Good work Febi & Sheepdog! Let's all give it our best & make this a really useful resource!

I'd be more than glad to assist.
Many thanks to those who made this possible, it is greatly appreciated.
-
yeh werd...Sam let me know if you want to split some of the duties to help lessen the load.
i'd be more than happy to learn stuff if need be..
-
Sign me up for something.
-
I've got NO experience with Vbulletin or CSS, but I'll be happy to throw in for something. Wadda ya need, moderators?
-
Don't have the skills or dedication but I can help with moral support.
PS: Has anyone invited Brendan Purcell and Ove Kvam over here? They played a big part in the m42 community and still do.
-
I wrote to brendan last night, but if you could reach out to Ove Kvam (i don't know the person) that would be great...
moral support counts man... you can start the 'I have two E30 M42s' interest group... (I guess it would sorta be like AA: "8 cylinders, two cars at a time!")

Guys,
I'm not sure what I could do, but I would be glad to help out when I can. I've only owned my 318 since january, but the help I've received from the community has been great, and I'd like to give something back, so let me know. Thanks!
Brian

Anyway for the rest of the forum,
I don't have any experience except for posting on forums. But I'm anxious to learn.

Shellback--
I'm a STA-21 OC at Penn State right now. I'm commissioning in August, then heading down to P-cola for NFO training. I've got about 8 years in so far, used to be a SeaSparrow FC on a Spru-can. How about yourself?

I should have a writeup in a few weeks on doing IE Stage 3 springs and (I know it's odd) rancho shocks on an m42 car, I'll let you know tho once I have it all written up
-

It's great, you can stand inside the engine compartment to even work on the v8 w/ no radiator hoses. Hopefully saturday I'm gonna order the rest of the parts so should expect the writeup in 2 weeks.

Hi Brian,
congrats on the STA-21. I went through OCS but directly from civilian life. Then went SWO (almost a divorce too - can't imagine why?!)
Hey, if you go NFO, go P3, those guys make so much $$$. Just think, you never go to sea and your family can visit you while on deployment! You get perdiem while "deployed". P-3 - Navy's best kept secret!
-
It's like you're reading my mind wrt the P-3's, although I'll be happy no mater what I get. P-3's are definately first on my list, although it would be awfully hard to pass up on a Super Hornet slot if one was available. Either way, I'm not sweating it, since it's all needs of the Navy and mostly out of my controll.
