what color is your car and engine bay.  if white, i like red.  black then a darker color, like flat black to keep the stealthness.

I am in the process of redoing my VC and intakes...VC installed--intake (upper and lower in the works). Was thinking of powder coating them, but I am to damn cheap...lol
Steps I took.

1. Clean the piss out of the parts. I used "Aircraft Remover" to strip the parts.
2. Primed with "Adhesion Promoter"
3. Painted with Dupli-color Textured Metallic
4. Sanded "stripes and logo" to bare metal
5. Clear coated them

The VC is a little dirty right now....Don't punish me....lol

nice your intake manifold looks a hell of a lot cleaner than mine does. so what did you use beside the aircraft remover cause ive been going at my stuff with a wire brush on a air tool works good but not so much in the crevices

Just used the AR and a pressure washer. No scrubbing/sanding required. Just don't get that AR stuff on your skin....Will burn like a MoFo....lol

I did mine red.  Glass beaded it then painted it with Dupli Color High Heat paint with Ceramic.  It came out quite well and has held up nicely.

I did my intake manifold Cast Coast Aluminun(another Duplicolor spray bomb)
My car is alpine. I like the red with the white. Kinda flashy but everyones is black or silver.

Am a basic kind of guy so I just used a engine color that match the BMW Blue on the logo.  Here's a pic.
