Title: rolling grinding noise
Post by: ABuseO on June 08, 2007, 03:36:50 AM
Theres this winding up and down grinding noise with the acceleration and deceleration of the car, on the rear passenger side. Wheel bearing?

And then theres sort of rattling on the front suspension, i was thinking control arms, but i dont know, i need some ideas.

thanks guys - austin.

rear noise-wheel bearing or diff output bearing. Possibly brakes, but that would get pretty smelly.

rattling-could be a lot of things. Check the control arm bushings and tie-rods for wear. Also check front subframe/engine cradle mounts.

with the noise in the rear also make sure that the parking break pad retaining pins haven't poped out.  I had one do that to me and I was getting a grinding sound when going very slow.
