Title: Pretty good 0-62mph time?
Post by: Frankie on May 27, 2007, 03:05:05 AM
I just tested my -90 318is with G-Tech Pro. I took 2 test runs and the result was 8.35sec (0-60mph). I you add .5 sec to that time its 8.85 which is pretty closely 0-62 time. We have tested the G-tech in FHRA track and the margin of error is 0,1-0,2 sec so it is pretty accurate and accurate enough to get comparison data.

I have owned the cat 2 weeks now and only mod 8as far I know) is the cat-back double exhaust. I have checked that there is no tuning chip present.

Stock 0-62 is 9.9 sec, so I would guess 9.3 - 9.4 sec?

Here is a picture of that exhaust. I tried to take from beneath of the car, but no use. It would not give any more information than this picture. It's not a "double" exhaust as in E46 m3 ;), but as you can see its somekind of DTM-exhaust

Any idea what manufacturer it is from? Also, is it dual all the way through, or is it just a dual-tip exhaust?

Just a dual tip. Don't know the manufacturer.

Has anyone measured the 0-60 time?

I have 10 lb flywheel, short clutch, turner motorsport chip, homemade heat shield and K&N Filter, full magnaflo exhaust, suspension       I've tried to time myself with my watch and come up with around 7.5

Timing by hand would not be accurate due:
1) meter inaccuracy (60mph indicated may not be 60mph on the road)
2) hand time error.
