i am building a 2 liter 16 valve borde and strokt m42 1 bar turbo garrett 2860RS ca 280hk aeromotive fuel pump tail vastegate link Lem3 ecu.
my calculations shows ca 4x 500cc/min 48Lbs at 3 bar 46psi.
is 720cc/min to big???

I'm running 750cc at the stock fuel pressure. Bigger turbo than yours but I'm not sure about your displacement since you don't state what your displacement is. I'm a bit shy of 2L. It's also a function of how much boost you plan to run.
What are you using for ECU?

124 cdi, garrett 2860RS 15 psi boost http://www.linkecu.com A Lem G3 full progamebel ecu (High Resolution Tuning – Up to 440 zone fuel and ignition tables with user definable load and RPM centres). aeromotive thunami fuel pump and adjust fuel regulator.

So my calcs show that you should make about 285HP (crank), and with a BSFC of .65 and an 80% duty cycle you'll need 594cc. You could move up to 750's or stay with the 550's and bump the fuel pressure a bit. If you're not going to run more than 15psi boost then the 550's should be fine.
Here is another sheet that gives similar answers and I'd trust RC's numbers before my own.

im running 570cc
at about 1.5 - 2 bar approx (cant remember)
running a Gt2871r at 20psi
the injectors are not close to being maxed out
-
i think 20psi is 1,38 bar boost.

That fuel pressure seems really low to support the boost and HP that you should be making (300HP?). 2 bar is only 29PSI or about 2/3rd's of the stock fuel pressure. Those injectors would seem to be right at 4 BAR but there are others that know this stuff better than I do.

the injector are always rated @ 3 bar 43psi
1,5 bar to 2 bar is to low, i think the best for pump and and injector are between 2,5 to 4 bar.
the choice i got is 4 injector at 720cc ore 8 at 440cc.
the last one`s are sold in 8 pacs only. only gona use 4.
i think the 720 are to big, and the 42lbs is the best choice.

Back to your original question... I would run the 550's and adjust the fuel pressure if necessary but you don't need to go above 4 BAR.

i vent whit som 470cc. Talked to som ford coswort guys and a couple nissan tuners in norway. the recomended these injectors. i think it has somthing to do with octan nr, we get 98 at the pumps. And my fuel pump is god for 4bar. i only gona use 1bar boost 14,7psi got 8 injectors for 450usd
