While driving I will periodically hear a ding. Any one know what it could be?
-
Does your OBC show that the outside temperature is -22F?
-
it is either -22 F or +122 F It never is in between them. I am taking the OBC out next week though to put in my temp gauge.
-
I think what John is getting at is that the ding is telling you to watch for ice, which would surely be on the road at -22F. So be careful out there.
-
I better leave the snowtires on then lol. What Miata do you have? I had a 1993. If not already a member, check out clubroadster.net, it is the best Miata forum
-
I've got a dark blue 1999 with the tan leather and a 2001 LS in silver. Not sure why I have two, esp. since one is on the left coast right now... but yeah, clubroadster has a much better forum that miata.net...

Right - the ding is the 'below freezing' warning from the OBC. Kinda annoying, but at least yours works! Well, maybe not the temp sensor, but... :)

Also could be the "mem" turned on...will ding just before the top of very hour...
