I am having trouble with my hood latch, for some reason the last time that i shut my hood, now the latch won't pop the hood open anymore. Is there any other way to get it open?

try to push it up while You are trying to lift it...
If not, You have to rapair it by removing part by part from the inside...

You can open it by poking a long flathead scredriver through the driverside front grill. The best way to describe this is - you are looking for the latching mechanism that is keeping the hood shut. It's going to take you a while to spot if this is your first time looking for it. You're going to be looking for a circular hole, insert the screwdrive, twist the screwdriver clockwise and voila...your hood pops open.

My 1991 318is did that when I first got it. The question is. When you pull the lever is there and tension on it or does it pull easy without any tension. If there is tension have someone apply pressure, doward on the hood and then pull the lever. At times the mounting bolts on the latch will work loose in turn it move doward and sucks up the hood tighter than normal. Look at you hood alignment with the fender height. If the hood is lower than the fender, then it got sucked down too tight. What cost mine not to pop when pulled was the shock was bad, not to mentioned dirty latch.. after lubricating it and new shock it works like new. Good luck.
