Title: Any one got spring pad numbers?
Post by: Cristian G in Oz on April 29, 2007, 10:21:18 PM
There has been much talk of cutting springs, changing spring pads and spring/strut combos here, but has anyone found different spring pads?

I know DClay suggested getting some new pads made up http://www.m42club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19181&postcount=17 (http://www.m42club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19181&postcount=17):)

But

I was kind of hoping some ingenious person had a list of the different pad numbers and their heights.
I'm mainly looking at the rears but if I can lower the front as well (until I get my new struts) without cutting springs then that is good.

Thanks to all for a great site.

Cristian

the rear spring pads have 3 diff thickness 2.5mm,5mm,7.5mm...there is a indication in the pads...1 small scuff in the middle means 2.5,2scuff means 5mm and so on....im using 7.5...

I have 325iX front 10mm pads to raise my car the next time I have the struts out.
