Title: Run/drive without Inst. Cluster?
Post by: Half8 on April 27, 2007, 01:40:08 PM
I'm attempting to buy a used cluster for my E30, but the seller needs the donor car to remain driveable. My E34 540 parts car ran without a cluster. Will an E30 318iS?
Thanks

The car will start, but in general, no, the battery will not charge...

Are you sure the battery won't charge? I read in the schematics that even if the bulb from the battery light is out the battery will still charge.

This has nothing to do with this thread, but SICK E34!!  My dad has a 530iT and it's nice and roomy.  Post up some pics of both your cars man!

Thanks.  Here are a couple more of the Touring.  I've only had the 318iS for about a month, so I don't have many pics yet.  The E30 is a bit ratty, but the price was right.  :D
