Post by: mikesjo on April 24, 2007, 02:46:24 AM
Has anyone replaced their Girling calipers w/ nugeon rebuilt girling calipers? They're listed on BMA's site.

Thanks,

Haven't used Nugeon brand but I've put a lot of Bendix loaded calipers on. Over 100,000 miles, on Hondas, I put on loaded calipers (rebuilt calipers with Bendix best pads) . They go on real quick and last over 50,000 miles before they need pads again.
BMW sells a rebuild kit for the caliper and the guides.  $25 a side but you get dirty and have to do a lot more work. I say go for the rebuilts. Nugeon also sells Axxis pads.

There can't be anything wrong with rebuilt Girlings by Nugeon, probably a better job than a shop rebuilding my existing ones right? Plus the Nugeons are $50 w/o pads!
