That's harsh, hang in there. I know I'd be a disaster if that all happened on the same day.

gosh, sorry to hear that man
-
what sucks is that his car got broken into sitting in his own driveway (in a nice neighborhood)...
that seriously bums me out... I was over there on saturday too!
[edit]
Let me also say, for the record, it wasn't me... I would have taken the short shift kit too!
-
Theiving bastards! Sorry to hear the bad news.
-
aaargh!
that sh1ts man!
If you needed a reason to do those things to the car, this is it. I don't care if it had absolutely nothing to do with the break in or water damage, it MUST be fixed now.
-
that's a bummer, good luck w/ the car, hope all the stuff ends up alright.
-
yeah man, sorry to hear that!
hopfuly you don't end up like me with overcooling issues after...:(
-
Thanks for the support guys, everything is alright. Got the waterpump and window fixed yesterday and im looking for a new radio today. Today is a much better day, I called out sick for absolutely no reason but to lay in bed a bit longer.

Nah, stupid ass thieves couldnt get the radio out and didnt realize what I had in the trunk. All they got was my faceplate. That they took my maglite, but then we found it under my seat.

How much dificulty did you have getting the old water pump out. I've been reading all the threads here and on bf.c regarding this and it's starting to scare me a little.
Glad the thieves didn't get away with too much, that would have sucked big time
-
yeh werddd glad that nothing of too much value was taken.

fwiw i've done two of these, and both were ok. if you're patient and careful and eventually it should come out.
i'm sorry to hear about you're bad luck, thumper, here's hoping things look up from here on in.

Damn that sucks......stupid people.
Hey a freind of mine got his truck broken into and the thieve couldnt get the head unit out so they took a screwdriver and drove it right thru the faceplate.....kinda like a "if i cant have it niether can you" thing.

To add to my great week, I noticed that I would get a clicking noise when breaking hard. Pop the hood and look what I find:

That doesn't look good. Were the mounts on your to-do list by any chance?

yes they were
-
Take it to a shop and have them remove the motor bushing on that side, support the engine while they remove it, then reweld that piece back to the subframe, it should be stronger then new when done
-
Thanks gunni, I think I am gonna try that. I think its the engine carrier so Im going to see if one is available and which option is cheaper, welding or replacing.
