Title: My new engine and i need help!!!!

i just finish my m42 swap is an e36 m42 engine with m44 wiring, ecu and m42 injectors i did m20 flywheel conversion too (with 2.0lt M20 flywheel) my idle is like a truck ! and i have hesitation then accelerating my engine is a complete rebuild (tomorow im gone make a compresion test) please help !

anyone has done M20 flywheel conversion ? i am afraid that will be my flywheel and i have a terrible noise from starter then i relase starter button but i gone handle that.... :( :( :(

Had the same problem. If you didn't soak the tension piston in oil then the intake cam probably skipped a tooth. Don't start it again until you check the timing. Then check the tension piston. Reset it and you should be okay. No need to push all the oil out, just push hard to get the cup nut to start threading when re-installing.

If you drove it at all with the timing off you better check the valves if you hear any noise after you get the timing fixed.

a big thanks for everyone it was the injectors i give them at some workshop for cleaning and testing but the dude is a stealer! i pay 30euros for nothing (he dosent clean them he dosent check them!) 2 of my 4 injectors dosent work well i change my injectors an my engine works great! but i have a little problem with camshaft possition sensor my sensor is new one but the problem remains keep looking...

Reset the ECM again (disconnect the battery, again, for 5 minutes).

My engine is just as clean as yours. Did you grind the header or sand blast it? Are they stock?

i sand blasting whole engine every single piece! as for the header is stock i solder it  becuse it was cracked and sand blast it

i have a diagnostic computer the camshaft sensor fault is impossible to erase

oh boy.... im so tired today my car it get fire from starter wire i think im not sure tomorow morning i gone fix it (or try for) this starter wire is realy bad placed!

my car is ready again but i need a new wiring for the engine coz i remove the isolation in mine for the repair it was my alarm system!!
