I found web page talking about the bosch ecu/dme box and it stated that you can rebuild these boxes if the go bad. also they stated that the ecu is interchagable between models as long as you change the eprom to the correct one for the engine that you have. can anyone shed some more light on this subject. this may be a way to save some big money on a new brain for these cars.
