so my magnecors were stolen out of my car and i just got my spare wires in the mail today...i need to go home asap for easter but i need to know for sure where to connect the wires. the wires are numbered of course and that black box next to the washer reservoir has numbers on it. 1-3-4-2 is the firing order, yes? but does that mean i connect wire #1 closest to the radiator side of the engine and #2 furthest back?
-
i know this is a retarded question but i need heeeelp
-
No, the cylinders are numbered 1-4, front to rear - closest to the radiator is the number 1 cylinder, closest to the firewall is the number 4. Firing order has nothing to do with physical placement (OK, well, it kinda does, but only so far as...)
Never mind.
1 to 4, front to rear.

From the radiator, going back to the firewall, cylinders are in order: 1-2-3-4
hook up the wires: #1 coil to #1 cylinder, #2 coil to #2 cylinder, etc.

alright problem solved, thanks for clearing that up.
yes my spark plug wires, intake, heat shield, roundels, subs, and rear speakers were stolen. lowlife thieves tried to break in 4 different ways and they ended up breaking the driver's window. i was proud of my car for holding them off for so long and also for drawing blood. (it was left on my door.)

....my spark plug wires, intake, heat shield....
Very interesting. A BMW thief. Usually they grab the quick sell high dollar items. That was M42 stuff.

They are probably trying to get the stuff to fit their civic. What losers...

because prices for precious metals are way up, there have been a rash of catalytic converter thefts here in the 718...
who knew that lowering yer car would someday be a theft deterrent.
