This is the best I've found for where to jack up your car .
Maybe this should be in the how to section ??

E30's are the easiest cars to jack up.

Sadly not for some ...my car is a victim of some talented moron placing lift arms on the wrong points thus smashing where you'd use a factory jack.
I've actually thought of getting a scissor jack for the japanese cars and using that instead for emergency road side use as it's 1000 times safer as well.

Ya, I like the scissor jacks. Good idea, just may get one also, since lowered and on my truck I've always had trouble fitting jacks under it cuz it's lowered so it could benefit both my cars.

The factory jack is fine for what it is meant to do. If you wedge the wheels, it'll be safe.... and I hope no one is using the factory jack while working on the car!

ya Porsches are hard to, we had a 911 towed in because some "tech" lifted the car from the oil cooler.....idiot.

There's a reason the VW/Audi factory jacks have been dubbed as "The Widowmaker"!
The VeeDub guys even made a t-shirt out of it (kind of an inside joke thing).

My 5000 jack had a plastic base, which snapped in half with me under the car one time. That was like... Could have fell as I was doing brake work, but luckly held together long enough for me to get out of the way and get the wheel back on.
