Title: E30 and diff stuff
Post by: an318is on March 29, 2007, 02:59:04 AM
Im just wondering if anyone has heard of puting the large case diff onto an E30 chassis. I dont mean the one on the 6 cylinders that run the 188mm ring gear im refering to the ones on M5 and alike that use a 210mm ring gear. Has anyone come across this being done before? I know they fit them to some E28's and some E28 diffs get used on E30's. Does this only apply to the medium case diffs with a change of differential cover?

Anybody seen this done before?

I'm not sure about the distance between the flanges, but I know there isnt a rear cover that works.
