Title: Alcantara headliner
Post by: ak96ss on March 16, 2007, 09:20:44 AM
Anyone have any thoughts on an Alcantara headliner?  There is a group purchase on R3V that includes these, for (IIRC) $325 shipped.

I've got new carpet on the way, and seeing the GP made me think that my headliner is looking pretty crappy.

Durability? Ease of cleaning?  Any other comments?

No one?  No one has any thoughts on the matter at all?

OK, has anyone even seen one?  I've never seen one in person, and am curious as to how they will last, etc.

I have never seen an alcantara headliner for an E30, but my parents' E34 5 series has one, and it is very durable, looks good, and seems to be easy to clean. IMHO the money would be better spent on performance mods, and I'm not sure how easy it is to change a headliner and make it look good.
