Just wanted to let you guys know that Turner Motorsports chip is on sale for $199.00 until the end of March. I paid $225.00 plus shipping six years ago and I still have no regrets. 12hp-16lb-tq, my first mod and still the best!

does it really give 12hp? markd's chip only gives about 5hp. has anyone ever put then on a dyno to compare?
-
I never heard a bad thing about TMS chip tuning, they are dyno tuned by Jim Conforti, his specialty is BMW tuning and he has been doing this since most tuners wore diapers. Most of his chips put out more than the rated hp-tq figures (check out Euro Tuners project on the E30-325) This was the first mod I did to my car, and I still remember the smile on my face during the first drive. It actually felt like bigger motor. If you like the MarkD, then go with it, I just wanted to let the club know that the TMS's were on sale

I believe the 12hp. Mark claims more or less 15 hp, and it's dyno tuned aswell. Conforti and MarkD are the two best chips out there. Thanks for the heads up.

Where I live 93 is available; would the 93 MarkD chip produce better than the 91 JimC chip? I was just curious.
-
is it just a matter of plugging the chip in or is there more to it?

I can't get 93 where I live, and with the price of gas now, I'd rather have a TMS chip and 91 octane in the tank! And yes, the chips are plug and play upgrades. How much can a chip that requires 93 octane improve over 12hp anyway?

I would love to know, because anywhere within the distance the car is driven has 93 octane. I run 93 now and if the MarkD did prove to produce more power then thats great.
