Title: Bore Hole M42?
Post by: ZeroG on February 24, 2007, 06:12:51 PM
I am in the middle of my Cyl. Head removal project, and Have no idea where the hell the bore hole is for the TDC pin to go into to lock the flywheel.

The Bentley says it is on the side on the bell housing.  (Imagine that!).  Well I looked, and cannot see anything.  Do I get to it from under the car, or from the engine bay with the intake assembly and exhaust assembly removed?

Which side is it on?  Will I be able to see it or is it one of those feel for it kind of things?

Car is a E36 M42 if that makes a difference.

you can see it, its on the drivers side on the bottom of the motor.....almost near the oil pan, cant miss it. its pretty small though, about 1/4 inch or so.
