Title: I need help wiring my elips
Post by: kramerica5000 on February 24, 2007, 11:20:55 AM
I got some Bosch elips for my car. I couldn't find pigtail connectors so I had to rig something up . . . anyone know where I can get pigtail connectors for the Bosh lamps? Are they the same as the Hellas?

Also . . . I'm trying to work out how to get back to having all 4 lights on when switched on high. I have a relay in now that closes when the highs are turned on to backfeed power from the high beams to the low beams. Problem is I am using the power from the high beams to throw the relay AND power the low beams . . . so once the its turned on it creates a closed loop and  i can't switch back to just lows without cutting off  the lights altogether.

That probably makes no sense . . . but has anyone figured out how to do this?

OK I think I figured out how to do the wiring by sodering the relays together in the fuse box.

I even found part #s for the connectors, but I can't find anywhere online that sells them. Does anyone know where to find them?

Thanks man. I was able to find the parts in the online catalog at crevierbmw. I'm over an hour away from the nearest dealer, so its a PITA when I can't find stuff online. I've got those places bookmarked now.
