Post by: 318ise30 on March 10, 2024, 10:57:57 AM
Hello

I'm new here, I'm in France, sorry if I write wrong... I have a 318is E30 Mtech2 OEM and since yesterday I have this clicking noise on the top engine...

Can someone tell me where this noise is coming from please?

Could be your chain tensioner. It is located on the passenger side at the front of the engine on the exhaust side of timing chain case.

it can make the chain slap the guides. You can search online for it. If you have no record of it being replaced, you should replace it.

Hello everyone
Does anyone by chance know what the height of the original rear springs on Mtech chassis is please? Or if it’s -20 -30 etc.
Thank you so much !
