Title: Does a M42 have an electrical connection for the fuel vent valve on cannister?
Post by: BrandoZ5 on February 05, 2024, 05:23:34 PM
Hello, my son and I got a 1991 318 rolling shell and found a decent m44 to install. We can't find the electrical connection to hook into the fuel tank vent valve on the charcoal cannister. Does the M42 not have on while the M44 does? Thanks (see photo)

According to BMWfans, #19 looks to be what you've posted a picture of. If you have the VIN of the donor motor, I'd put that into RealOEM or BMW fans to compare to.

Thank you, apparently BMW used to make all the connections the same, knock sensors and evap sensors. Deleted the knock sensors on the m44 and used the connections on the m42. Thank you
