I made this a while back when preparing to rebuild a stock harness to fully integrate all the stuff I would want when converting to a stand alone ECU. It is based on a real, complete harness that I took apart and checked every single splice and connection on. It turns out that the official diagrams have a couple of errors in them (some incorrect wire colors, a number of missing splices), which this diagram does not have. Note that it is for the 318iS (battery in trunk), and the sedans which have the battery up front will have some differences in the connections near the battery (no fusible link). Anyway, enjoy!

I parked my daily driving E30 after signs of blowing a head gasket and just recently got the itch to get it back on the road. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the work you put into this and how handy it is! I have a "crank, no start" situation and this will help tremendously!
Thank you!

I'm glad that you find this useful. Hopefully you get the car going again easily, and the HG is not blown!
