Hi guys,
i have major problems with my engine..
Its cold-starting very bad, sometimes it will just flood.
In addition, i have fuel in the Oil and the exhaustgases smells really rich. I tested the injectors already and they are fine. Replaced both temp. sensors in the head, crankshaft pisition, camshaft position, Chain tensioner.
I found out that all the wires from the TPS were ripped off. I re-attached them but that did changed nothing.
I measured the resistor of the blue plug and its reading correct. Does anyone has an idea? The car also started to missfire once you are fullthrottle at higher RPMs. Everything is getting worse :(

Did this start out of now where? Was anything recently done to the car? How long has it been running fine before this started? There could be a few things but need to know those to maybe point you in the right direction.

Hello,
i always had the issue, that it coldstarted very bad. This was only occasionally at first tho. Now its impossible to to start it, without issues. Also i only drive the car on rally events and between those events, the car is shutoff for like a few weeks. When it was starting badly, it wasnt an issue anymore for the whole weekend. It always started instantly. Middle of last year, it happens that it only started after repeatedly cranking for an total of 1-2 minutes on the day after the rally. Now, 2 month ago, we had our last rally and it happened that it also wont start after like 2h of resting. Man.
I had those misfirering at the first rally i drove last year with this car, i changed some parts and the issue went away. I always thought it was because it was too cold (first rally was snowy) but apparently that wasnt the issue. I could rev it out in the meantime.
Beside the start-issues, it drove fine, but on last rally, 2 mointh ago, after the 3rd SS, it happened to missfire at high rpm. I also think it was fuel dependend, since ignition issues are always "faster".
The sparkplugs are flooded while starting and its smelling sooo rich. I am sure its getting too much fuel. I measured the resistance of the blue plug and its working as intended. I also had teh FPR in my head but i read that if they fail, youll have gas in the vacuum line from that, but its dry.
Thanks!
Mark
