Title: Loose pilot bearing

I am in the process of changing the clutch on my 318is (Getrag 240).  The new pilot bearing is a little loose in the engine output flange.  Now my concern is this:  When I re-mount the trans,  might the splined shaft of the transmission push the pilot bearing too far in, or is this not a worry?
