I recently installed offset front control arm bushings on my 318is.  The bottom of the struts are slightly pushed forward giving increased pos. caster.  I have noticed that there are two pairs of holes in the lateral suspension frame to which the steering  rack is mounted.  I have also noted that my tie rod ends are now slightly forward.  Should I re-bolt my steering rack to the forward pair of mounting holes?  Will the steering shaft slide/allow for this change?

I am not sure whether you "should" move the rack, and my gut feeling is that it should remain in the original place. The column does telescope though. The main thing is to get an alignment done because the car will handle poorly without it. Front toe is the only adjustable parameter (if all else is stock), and since that is known to have changed, you should definitely get it done.
