Title: M44 Stroker OEM ecu
Post by: M44B19 on August 19, 2019, 10:59:20 AM
I am determined to make the stroker to my m44b19,  and I have a doubt.

If I put the M47 crankshaft on my m44b19 engine, I will lose the triguer pulley located within the m44 block.

With the outer pulley of the m42b18 mounted on the crankshaft of the m44b19, the pulley is out of phase (180º + XXº)  :-[. I don't know how many degrees they are exactly. I'm worried.

I can think of 2 options:

1st) Make a notch on the m42 pulley and "center" it on the crankshaft of the m47.

2nd) Use the complete electronics of the M43B19 engine (same pulley as the M42b18)

What do you think?

I have the m47 crankshaft on the way and soon.

In any case, I will give it a solution, when I have it I will say it. :)

Thak you in advanced.

Since the M47 crank will require modification to work with the M42/44, you might be able to have the machine shop adapt the M44 trigger wheel as well. Otherwise, you could try the M42 crank damper/trigger wheel, and changing the rotational alignment just involves drilling a new hole in the front hub for the alignment pin to engage the trigger wheel at the desired angle.
